Nearly 260,000 people died in natural disasters in 2010, compared to 15,000 in 2009. Of those, 21,000 of this year's disaster deaths are weather related.

About Me

I first asked God in Christ to forgive me of my sins and gave Him my life back in the summer 1994. Well, I asked a few times before that but 1994 is when I meant it, and God knew it.

When I was a newborn reborn Christian, I had this insatiable hunger for God's Holy Bible. It was like a drug for me. As I read the Bible, I started to notice many of today's churches closely resembling the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus' day, including the one where I started my relationship with Christ.

This was difficult for me because I love hanging out with other Christians. I've come to hate "religion" in the sense of man's rules and traditions within churches, but I still love Christian fellowship. I try very hard not to seem rebellious, yet I come across that way sometimes.

I know in my heart of hearts that God has a big end-time calling for me. I can't shake it and it's not the pizza, either. It's not yet clear to me what that calling is but I'm pretty sure the time has not yet arrived. So in the meantime, I live everyday the best I can for the Lord.

RAPTURE doctrine

The biggest discrepancy in today's pop doctrine I've noticed during my own personal Bible study as a new Christian is the doctrine of the Rapture. Actually, that word "Rapture" we tacked on; but a more Biblical phrase for it is "our gathering together to meet the Lord in the air" and "catching away". YES, there will be a catching-away "Rapture". The discrepancy is the notion that all prophecies have come to past for the Rapture to happen now.

Two main prophecies that must precede the Rapture are 1) the Great Apostasy, and 2) the revelation of the Antichrist. It should be obvious to most watching Christians that the Great Apostasy has already started. But what freaks out most people is the part about the revelation of the Antichrist. It freaks them out because they confuse that word "revelation" with "empowerment" or "dictatorship". But really, all that means is that we'll know who he is before the Rapture occurs; it doesn't mean he'll be in charge at that time.

Truthfully, I keep hoping someone will prove me wrong. The popular doctrine seems so much nicer. I would like to find written and literal proof from only the Bible. People's past attempts to show me biblical proof that I'm wrong have been futile. The verses I found on my own call for a literal interpretation of Scripture. The verses they've given me call for speculations and usually a commentary by some PhD Theologian author blah blah blah person.

So, in short, will there be a Rapture? YES. Is it soon? YES. Have all prophecies been fulfilled for the Rapture to occur at any moment? Sorry, but NO.
